Hi reader,

Two weeks ago the house had a triple launch. This coming Friday, August 7, it does it again. Three brand-new books, three completely different moods, all landing on the same day, because apparently we do not know how to release one book at a time around here.

Before I tell you what is coming, a quick reminder of what just arrived, in case a busy July got away from you. Two Fridays back we put out The Honest Man (Jessie Clark, a locked-study murder that should not be possible), Something Wicked This Way Brews (Jessie again, a cozy with a tea-shop witch and a very judgmental cat), and The Night Shift Witch (Jennie Wren Foster, a paranormal romcom about a nurse who accidentally adopts a coven). All three are on the shelf right now.

Now, what is coming Friday:

For the reader who likes a knife behind the smile: Hostile Intent, by Kira Deveraux. A woman who built an empire from a chair nobody thought she would earn. A corporate shark sent to take it apart cleanly. Eight weeks in a windowless room, and a secret buried inside the company that could end the most powerful man in the city. Book one of a scorching new series. High heat.

For the reader who wants their heart in it: Hidden Truths at Mercy General, by Clara Langford. The small-town hospital romance returns, and this time the danger is quieter than a diagnosis: a threat to Mercy itself, an ER doctor with a past she has never told anyone, and a paramedic who sees her clearly for the first time in years. Over-40, slow-burn, warm.

For the reader who likes the ground to shift: Bonneville Shadows, by Jessie Clark. Book two of the Utah Shadows thrillers. A young geologist turns up dead on the salt flats, the case closed in nine days, and the only person her family believes is Gillian Jones, the woman who exposed one buried government secret and swore she was done. What Gillian finds under the blinding white is worse than a murder: a machine that can rewrite what a crowd remembers, and a test days away that will make the truth impossible to prove. Some things the desert takes. Some things it is paid to erase. For readers of Blake Crouch. Reads as a standalone. It goes live August 7, and you can pre-order it right now so it lands the moment it releases: https://books.by/jlcollinspublishing/bonneville-shadows
